Romance shouldn't just be reserved for February 14th, so take the opportunity to show your softer side with ballet-inspired ruffles, lace and soft tones. Or take your hem-line down a few notches with floaty dresses and skirts in the length of the season- mid-calf- as seen at Lanvin, Chloe and Oscar de la Renta. On first glance this length may appear tricky to pull off so choose skirts with beautiful textures to create interest and give the skirt a lift, of course transparency is optional and perhaps not advised!

Use accessories to give a contrast to this look, counteract the soft hues and floaty fabrics with chunky wrist and neckwear, as demonstrated at Chanel and Rag & Bone. Follow Chanel and opt for silver and jewel detailing or take Rag & Bone's lead and layer simple pared down pieces.
